“You attract what you are, not what you want.”
With the [obvious] increase in proclamations of undying love, the inundation of Facebook feed engagements, and nonstop ads for rings, chocolates, and EMOTIONS; We are reminded yet again it’s almost Valentine’s Day!
This is one holiday I don’t really have a problem with. I don’t think we spend enough time telling those who we love that we actually love them. I like that we have a day for this. So many times we forget to tell those who we love how we feel. If you love someone, stop reading this and tell them you love them, DO IT NOW.
For those of us who may find ourselves without a Honey-Boo-Boo-Child this Valentine’s Day, it can feel rough.
Well, don’t worry Honey-Boo-Boo-Child, you’re not totes alone. There is an abundance of advice columns to help us cope with what others have dubbed[stepped] as our problem.
I’ll summarize ↑
1. You’re a Bitch.
2. You’re Shallow.
3. You’re a Slut.
4. You’re a Liar.
5. You’re Selfish.
6. You’re Not Good Enough.
Wow… And if that’s not enough to take in, you can read the counterargument.
I’ll summarize ↑
1. I’m not ready.
2. I’m not willing to settle.
3. I haven’t found the right partner.
4. I don’t want to rush into marriage.
5. I actually do like being single right now.
6. I don’t want to get married just for the sake of getting married.
Whew, that’s a lot to take in. It’s a good thing we have so many people telling us how we should feel about marriage, love, etc. so we don’t have to figure out with our own lil pea-pickin brains.
Although I love the message of Valentine’s Day, I tend to get overwhelmed with all of the Valentine’s Day Hoopla. Blaaaah ↓

If you have love for yourself, there’s hope that you’ll be able to share that with someone else someday (if you want to). If we want to be reminded how insufficient we are we don’t need to hear it from ourselves, that’s what advice columns are for silly.
